The Small Countries Financial Management Centre (SCFMC) annual programme
The Small Countries Financial Management Centre (SCFMC) held its annual programme at The Nunnery in July after a two-year Covid driven hiatus. The SCFMC is a charity registered in the Isle of Man and was set up by the Government in 2009 with the objective of reducing poverty and improving financial governance, by the delivery of targeted executive education and technical training programmes. It develops capacity building skills and a deeper understanding of best practice around financial regulation, risk management and the broader management of government financial activities.
Since inception, 287 participants representing 31 countries have attended the annual programmes. During the week spent at The Nunnery, the 2022 cohort planted a cherry blossom tree in the estate gardens. This is a great addition to the Tree Planting initiative at The Nunnery.
